In two days (!!!!) we go into Tiny Telephone to record a brand new album!!! It is going to be 7 songs, tracked and mixed completely analog. We could not be more excited about this batch of songs and the wonderful studio we’re getting to work with. As you may know recording costs a lot, so we’ve put up a pre-order page through Kickstarter to help us replenish the costs of recording and get the music to you ASAP.
By pre-ordering the album, or, “pledging”, you will not only get access to the music but a front row seat in the process of making the album as well. We are going to post exclusive recording updates through picture and video on our Kickstarter page only available to those that pre-order. The page is running for a total of 35 days with 33 days remaining to help us make proper recordings for you to all hear. Once again here is the link and please to pass it on if you can!!!

Earlier this month we spent the better part of a day filming an episode of a local television show called “Under SF” about the underground bay area music scene. The episode features live performances, interviews, and footage from our Haunted Hoedown at the end of last month. If you live in San Francisco you can catch it on these local channels:
Comcast and Astound channel 27
AT&T channel 99
For those of you that can’t catch the actual broadcast we will have an online version up soon!
We’ve got a great San Francisco show coming up this Tuesday at wonderful underground venue CAFE DU NORD. Doors are at 7:30 and we start the night off right at 8:30 with a 30 minute set!

Our second annual Haunted Hoedown is TONIGHT at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. This is one of the few shows each year where we hand select bands to join us for a Halloween themed costume party concert extravaganza! The lineup this year is incredible, headlined by our good friends Please Do Not Fight, who will be releasing the first part of their full length album, available here as a digital download – 4 tracks for $2! We’re been bro-in down with these guys and following them since 2008 and are honored to be hosting them for their release.
Opening up the show will be our good friends Owl Paws who have a very distinct acoustic indie vibe full of lush harmonies and wonderfully textured lead guitar. They kick things off at 9 PM sharp so PLEASE show up on time, or even better, early, to make sure you catch their set. Second will be Debbie Neigher, who is hands down one of the most riveting songwriters in the bay area. She absolutely kills it live, and with a three piece band it’s bound to one of her best sets yet.
We are also going to be having a very special costume contest. In order to enter the contest you need to have your picture taken during the hoedown by our photographer Jaclyn Snook. She will be posted up at our merch table as well as floating around to try and capture the costumes. On Halloween day, Monday October 31, check our Facebook page to see our top picks. The picture that gets the most ‘likes’ will be sent a special package in the mail from RTT.
Also, the first 50 people through the door with a costume on get a free 12 X 18 concert poster, autographed by the bands on full color thick stock. Think of it like those awesome Fillmore posters, except instead of 1,000 there will be 50. Come early!!!
Hope to see you tonight – there will be free candy and spooky decorations a-plenty. RSVP on Facebook by clicking here
P.S. Our set tonight is going to be filmed my local access TV show Under SF for an episode airing 11/11/11 – come get wild for television!
Through all the various outlets of band promotion – Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. sometimes we forget about our own website! In the last two weeks we’ve put up two parts of a three part series promoting our Haunted Hoedown show on October 28. The third one will be coming out this Monday, October 24. Enjoy!
P.S. here’s the event on Facebook, check the details and RSVP if you’re going to come!
Our second annual Haunted Hoedown show is right around the corner! October 28 we will be taking the stage with some of our best friends – Please Do Not Fight, Debbie Neigher, and Owl Paws – for a costumed night of live music!
Next week on October 10 we will be launching a 3 part mini web series leading up to the show featuring members of each act playing the Hoedown. It will be called “Haunted Showdown” and you can check out a preview here:
We are in a poll with Live 105 to be considered for a list of up-and-coming Bay Area bands to be featured on their website. For those of you that don’t know Live 105 is the biggest on air alternative rock radio station in the Bay Area so this would be a HUGE opportunity for us! You don’t have to register and it literally takes one click and 5 seconds! If you haven’t seen our music video you can watch it there as well – either way please rate us 5 stars
This Thursday we will be the featured performer at THE GRIND OPEN MIC NIGHT in Redwood City, CA. We have been going to this open mic for over a year and it remains one of our favorites in the bay area. The vibe is great with coffee to match, performers are top notch, and there’s such a wide range in age and style of performance that the show is always interesting. It’s put together by our friends in Please Do Not Fight (check them out) and we’d really love to see you guys out! We will be performing a 20 minute set in between two hours of open mic slots.
Sign ups are at 6:30 PM SHARP with the show starting at 7 – and the sign ups are known to fill up within minutes so make sure to come early!
We are going to be performing with LOS AMIGOS INVISIBLES from Venezuela! This is a HUGE opportunity for us. We need as much support as we can at a gig like this. We play FIRST so please come early at 7!!!
We had an amazing 12 days on the road. There will be a full blog post about the journey and pictures and all that fun stuff coming shortly. Here’s a video showing some performances from the first half of tour – the second video will be coming in the following weeks! We have a HUGE show on Thursday (The Avalon in Santa Clara – 7 PM) and very busy week ahead!!
